Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use an AscendCTE™ website, either a site we build and host for a school, college, or training institution (an “institution”), or our own website at ascendcte.com. AscendCTE™ is a product of Shine 49 Media House LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as CTEPromoVideos.com (“we,” “us”). By using these sites, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.
1. Institutions with a signed agreement
If an institution has a signed agreement with us, that agreement governs our relationship with the institution. Where these terms conflict with it, the signed agreement controls.
2. Program information comes from the institution
Each institution site presents career and technical education programs on behalf of that institution. The institution provides and approves the program details, such as courses, campuses, credentials, schedules, and eligibility. For official requirements or deadlines, contact the institution directly. Using a site or submitting an interest form does not enroll you in a program and does not guarantee admission or a place in any program.
3. Career and wage information
Some pages show career and wage information drawn from public sources such as the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and O*NET. It is general information to help you explore. It is not a promise of any job, wage, or outcome, and actual results vary by person, place, and time.
4. Using the sites
Please use the sites for their purpose: learning about programs and connecting with an institution. You agree not to:
- submit false information, or submit information about another person without their permission (a parent or guardian may submit for their own child where the site allows it);
- send spam or automated submissions, or try to get around our spam protection;
- try to access parts of the sites, data, or systems that are not meant for you, or interfere with how the sites work;
- copy, scrape, or download site content in bulk.
We may block access or remove submissions that break these rules.
5. Videos, design, and other content
The videos, images, text, design, and software on the sites belong to us, to the institution, or to others who have licensed them. You are welcome to view the sites and share links to them. You may not download, copy, edit, or reuse the videos or other content, including for commercial purposes, without written permission from us or the institution.
6. Links to other websites
The sites may link to websites we do not control, such as an institution’s main website or a public data source. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
7. No warranties
We work to keep the sites accurate, secure, and available, but we provide them “as is” and “as available,” to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that they will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the sites. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Continuing to use the sites after an update means you accept it.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, except where an institution’s signed agreement with us provides otherwise, or where the law requires different terms for students or their families.
